WHAT TYPE OF IDENTIFICATION IS NEEDED TO PURCHASE A FIREARM IN TEXAS?

A valid/non-expired driver’s license or state identification card with a current address.

WHAT IS AN FFL?

FFL stands for Federal Firearms License, and there are several types of FFLs covering various aspects of firearm sales and purchasing. All firearm manufacturers and dealers who ship or receive guns from Texas Pawn & Jewelry are required to have an FFL to conduct business.

WHAT IS THE NICS BACKGROUND CHECK?

The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is used for determining if a prospective firearms buyer is eligible to legally make the purchase. After a prospective buyer completes the application form, Mesa Street Pawn will initiate the background check with most results back within minutes.
